Police exchanged fire with suspected al Shabaab militants after an IED attack on Monday.
The causalities were rushed to Witu hospital.
Reports indicate that there is still exchange of fire,
The vehicle ran over an IED at Lango la Simba in Nyongoro.
Linda Boni security operation director Joseph Kanyiri said he is yet to get facts on the incident but confirmed security officers are at the scene.
Lamu county commissioner Golbert Kitiyo said there were no deaths and that police were sent there.
Last Wednesday, five people were injured after suspected al Shabaab militants fired at a passenger bus that was travelling from Malindi to Kipini.
The militants fled the scene before police escort arrived.
