Igembe MCA’s vow to challenge in Court move by Kwale County Assembly to ban sale of Miraa
Igembe MCAs have vowed to move to court to challenge the move by Kwale County Assembly to ban the sale of Miraa.
The county assembly banned the sale of Miraa in the county after massive rejection during the recent KDF recruitment exercise.
The youth in the Kwale revealed that the massive rejection was as a result of consumption of Miraa especially on the teeth. Miraa is believed to have a browning effect on the dental formula.
For one to be recruitment to the army the require to have a good dental formula.
The MCAs also said that Miraa was a cause of the youth deteriorating in the county and therefore banning the substance would be a step in the right direction.
The motion was tabled by Antony Yama of Kasemen ward and received a unanimous vote.
