High court has freed controversial miracle babies maker Gilbert Deya on a sh. 10 million bond or cash bail of the same amount.
Deya was deported back to Kenya from the UK on August 3rd 2017 to face five charges of child theft from the years 1999 and 2004 in Nairobi.
In his ruling on Tuesday, Justice Luka Kimaru said stringent conditions should be set so the accused does not abscond.
“The accused has a history of absconding and maligning the courts. He should follow terms to make sure he attends court.”
The matter will be mentioned on May 29 for confirmation of whether Deya paid the cash bail or bond.
