Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has urged Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez to put his country’s World Cup Qualification failure aside and concentrate on club duties with the Gunners.
Chile were dumped out of qualification spots after terribly losing 3-0 to hosts Brazil on Tuesday.
Sanchez is expected to report back to Arsenal’s training base on Friday ahead of the clubs visit to Watford on Saturday in the English Premier League.
However, the French manager said he would talk to his front star to access his mental stability ahead of the encounter.
“I’ll have to speak to him as I am concerned. I watched the whole game between Brazil and Chile and I saw how difficult it was and that he got some special treatment,” said Wenger.
Concerning Sanchez’s stay, the Gunners’ Boss admitted it remains a possibility that Arsenal may cut their losses with Sanchez in January transfer window and sell him at a cut price to City rather than lose him for free next summer.
