Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday welcomed former Kajiado Governor David Nkedianyi to Jubilee party, citing that the process long began in 2012.
Nkedianyi teamed up with the his successor Ole Lenku, who beat him in the gubernatorial race through the Jubilee ticket to drum support for the re-election of President Kenyatta.
“We have agreed to work together, we support Lenku’s politics of unity. We are now in Jubilee,” stated Nkedianyi.
Following the defection, Governor Nkedianyi noted that ODM’s support in Kajiado is long gone, dead and buried.
Meanwhile, with Raila pulling out of the race, Ruto alleged that the former Prime Minister is too afraid of being walloped by President Kenyatta on a one on one Presidential race.
He maintained Jubilee’s stand that the re-election slated for October 26, shall take place as scheduled by the IEBC.
